A Dynamic Identity – Just as living cells grow by constantly interacting with their surroundings, the Biomedical Engineering Research Building was designed to maintain its distinct identity while absorbing new information from the outside world to grow and evolve. A Breathing Shield – The research area is positioned at the center of the building to create a fully enclosed experimental space unaffected by the external environment, while observation and rest areas, along with researcher living quarters, are arranged around it to enhance connectivity with the exterior. Optimal System – By arranging spaces and utility areas vertically, we establish an optimal system capable of accommodating any experimental environment. Pleasant User Environment – To provide comfort and convenience to the researchers who will use the facility, the research areas and rest areas are placed adjacent to one another. This design is intended to enhance researchers’ concentration and alleviate stress.
