Kyunghoon Kim, CEO of JPA, Selected as a Judge for the 19th Korea Spatial Culture Awards 2024

Date2024-11-08

The “Republic of Korea Spatial Culture Awards” were established in 2006 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Institute of Architects to transform our everyday living spaces into places where people and culture take center stage, and have been held ever since.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Institute of Architects, the awards have recognized individuals, organizations, and local governments—as well as the spaces they have created—that have contributed to improving spatial culture by raising public awareness of spatial culture and enhancing urban competitiveness.
With the aim of enhancing the public’s awareness of spatial culture and improving the quality of life by boosting urban competitiveness, this award is presented to local governments, corporations, civic groups, and individuals who have contributed to the creation of cultural spaces that restore humanity and take historical and cultural values into account.
The awards include one Presidential Commendation and one Prime Minister’s Commendation (Grand Prize), as well as four categories of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendations (Excellence Awards): the “Dure Sharing Award,” the “Street Plaza Award,” the “Community Resting Place Award,” and the “Our Love Award.”
