On Monday, November 25, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, for the “Star Lake New Town K8HH1 High-Rise Residential Complex.”
This project, led by Daewoo E&C, involves the development of offices, residential units, and shophouses—a type of local Vietnamese commercial facility—on the K8HH1 site in Star Lake New City. JUNGLIM Architecture, which won the design competition in 2020, is currently carrying out the detailed design, with completion targeted for 2027.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by approximately 100 key figures, including Do Nhat Hoang, Director General of the Foreign Investment Agency under Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI); Han Seung, Executive Vice President and Head of Daewoo E&C’s Overseas Business Division; Hong Seon, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (KOCHAM); and Park Hang-seo, former head coach of the Vietnam national soccer team.
