Samil Building Remodeling, Inheriting Architectural Value from a Fresh Perspective

The Samil Building is the country’s first high-rise steel construction, a “monumental” building that exemplified development with modern architectural form, construction technology, and the evolving image of a corporation and the city owning the tall building. Junglim successfully carried out the remodeling project of the Samil Building, reinterpreting this iconic office tower in downtown Seoul with modern sensibility and functionality. While securing the structural stability of the existing building, we aimed at maximizing its asset value and redefining its status as a downtown landmark by introducing an eco-friendly and smart office environment.
