Lotte World Shenyang, which is still currently under construction, is a super-large, multiuse space. This project, based on the concept of a ‘Wonder Loop’, sought to clarify the boundary between working, shopping and residential facilities and efficiently link them together by placing a loop-type shopping mall and park facilities in the center and towers and anchor facilities on the edges. The 63-story tower located on the northern edge of the site serves as the new landmark for the city, and the Lotte Village, located in the center of the site, is inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and functions as a festival square and place of traditional culture where daily shopping activities and various events are held.
