Located at Suseong-dong, Daegu, the site of Daegu Bank Headquarters is classified as a street commercial district adjacent to the 50m-wide road that connects to the new town near Dongdaegu Station and has a larger area than the bank. Public space was effectively secured and a sunken garden put in between the lower and the upper parts, so as to make the building conform to the site and enhance intimacy to the earth. The form associated with framework construction and such contrastive binary concepts as transparency and solidity, and podium and tower, was to pursue multivocal expression through complex organization.
