Lotte Center Hanoi is a 65-storey high-rise building with a height of 267m, and serves as a new landmark in Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi. Although the building missed the chance of holding the record as the tallest building in Vietnam due to project delays, the overwhelming scale, size and modest façade of this project, which has the appearance of two towers leaning towards each other at an angle, still stand out compared to its surrounding urban context. The initial design of the building was limited to an office, but since then, has transformed into a completely new project through the addition of other programs such as a department store, hotel and residences, and the addition of an observatory on the 65th floor and a skywalk made in the shape of a cantilevered box.
