The Songdo Campus Town built within the Songdo Global Complex is the infrastructure for education and research, including Yonsei University and various international universities in connection with the knowledge-based industry. The important concept of this project was to not only follow the framework of the master plan for Yonsei University International Campus but also represent SL Bigen as independent and differentiated as an education and research facility. The project site had to serve as a landmark located at the spatially and functionally core zone within the campus. The stone facades were the product of density-based coordination of vertical elements so as to constitute a laminated structure. This is symbolically expressed in contextual harmony with the application of cladding materials and colors to realize the continuous facade design as prescribed in the detailed coordination guidelines of the campus master plan.
