New National Museum of the Democratic Republic of Congo, located in the Midwest of the African continent, is created to preserve national heritage and to promote its values. As one of three major projects of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), it is a facility for integrating the past, present and future by building a symbolic structure with cultural and educational purposes in the DR Congo where historical and cultural contents are desperately lacking. Nation Museum of the Democratic Republic of Congo is expected to become not only the center of education, but also a base for global collection, preservation, recovery, and research of relics that are highly worth preserving. Beyond a simple structure, it will become a modern museum that exposes its identity as a national landmark, providing a spiritual integration and vision of the DR Congo.
