Samyang Corporation Incheon Logistics Center is a project of building a regional distribution center (RDC) to integrate the delivery for the Seoul metropolitan sphere at the soccer field of the 2nd plant which is adjacent to the 1st and 2nd Gyeongin (Seoul-Incheon) Expressways. After reviewing many different options of layout, we secured circulations independent and separate from the existing plant, while designing a low-temperature warehouse on the ground floor and a room-temperature warehouse on the 3rd and 4th floors aboveground with freight elevators and vertical carriers used. Particularly, the 4th floor was prepared for the possible future change of use into a raw paper mill, equipped with three cores one of which provides a separate independent circulation. Also, the core structure was decided as reinforced concrete while the whole structure of the warehouse as precast concrete, considering the possible addition of one floor in future. The rooftop was landscaped to provide convenience for the workers.
