Korean Air then launched a design competition for this site, seeking proposals for a master plan and programs to revitalize the area. Because we all loved this land, we decided to envision Songhyeon-dong as a cultural landmark. A vibrant cultural hub that not only offers cultural experiences like exhibitions and performances but also integrates education and production; a space that ensures sustainability and the potential for micro-level change through small-scale development; a place that preserves the cultural heritage and traditional culture of Bukchon while upholding local identity; and a venue for exchange that welcomes people from around the world.
