To overcome the challenging site conditions\u2014including an elevated highway encircling the site and a maximum building height of 20 meters\u2014and to accommodate a capacity of 1,300 seats and 700 seats, respectively, most of the performance facilities had to be located underground. To address the inevitable challenges of natural lighting and ventilation, the southern side of the site\u2014which was relatively easier to open up\u2014was actively opened to the outside.
