Furthermore, since the Gyeongbu Expressway and high-speed rail are critical elements for establishing Chilgok\u2019s status as a landmark after the stadium\u2019s completion, the facilities within the site naturally follow the Urban Axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the Chilgok Stadium was intended not only to provide a space for the residents of Chilgok but also to attract national-level events, the design considered the flow of visitors centered around the plaza to enhance the utility of both the stadium and the multipurpose plaza, and anticipated the numerous events and activities that would arise from these visitor flows. As Chilgok\u2019s population is expected to grow in the future, the scale of the Chilgok Stadium must also expand; therefore, a second phase of construction was planned with future expansion in mind.
