Speaking from a functional standpoint, it is not architecture but machinery \u2014 even extremely complex machinery. Even the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) concept alone encompasses&nbsp;nearly ten&nbsp;aspects, making it engineering in a way. Yet humans are too significant a factor; reducing it solely to that perspective often leads to failure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dim, gloomy hospitals are utterly rejected. Efforts were made to ensure ample daylight and fresh air throughout. Dramatic architecture is not particularly&nbsp;required. A convenient, cheerful environment&nbsp;that is&nbsp;easily&nbsp;expandable&nbsp;suffices.&nbsp;Particular emphasis&nbsp;was placed on&nbsp;interiors.
