In response, Wonju City decided to invest approximately 50 billion won to build a multi-purpose sports complex on the site of the old baseball stadium, leading to the creation of the new Wonju Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arena is intended to serve not only as a comprehensive sports complex but also as the home court for the Dongbu Purmi, a professional basketball team based in Wonju.
