The project seeks to achieve practical carbon neutrality and zero energy building performance while exploring residential spaces that care for humans and the environment, especially in the era of contactless technology triggered by the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategic design measures to minimize energy consumption from the large exterior and window areas of the detached house include minimizing the north-facing window area, reducing spatial volume, and achieving passive performance compatible with zero energy houses (ZEH) through insulation, thermal bridge prevention, and low-emissivity triple-glazed windows equipped with expansion bands. The approximately 880 BIPV modules installed on the facade and roof, jointly developed by LG Electronics and Junglim Architecture, combine elegant aesthetics and installation details, making them fully worthy as exterior cladding materials. LG Electronics&nbsp;plans to integrate its home appliance and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into this future residence.
