Proposal for Modular Design Adaptable to Changing Research Environments We will establish a modular standard floor plan that allows for easy modification and expansion of research spaces depending on the scale and nature of the research. This flexibility and scalability enable the facility to accommodate not only our core field of bio-research but also a wide range of other research activities.
Research Space Planning for Communication and Expansion We have secured an appropriately sized area capable of accommodating 24 benches and established a collaboration zone where researchers can communicate and interact. Additionally, the 15.5-meter column-free space allows for flexible use of the space depending on the operational environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Site Layout That Harnesses the Potential and Value of the Site The building is positioned to incorporate a green axis, taking into account the open space to the southwest and visibility from Magok Jungang 8-ro to the north. By opening the south side toward the greenery, the design provides outdoor spaces that actively utilize the external environment.
The Ultimate Integrated Support Space for Researchers\u2019 Voluntary Engagement: Community Zone We provide an integrated support space that combines researchers\u2019 convenience, health promotion, self-development, learning, and networking. We create a space that brings nature indoors and allows for active engagement with the external environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glass Curtain Wall + Integrated Balcony The facade, composed of an integrated balcony surrounding a transparent glass box, provides a pleasant environment as a research facility that communicates with the external environment. The transparent glass draws the landscape indoors through interaction with the outside, while the integrated balcony, constructed with metal panels, serves as an eco-friendly element that regulates indoor solar gain to maintain a comfortable indoor light environment and temperature.
A floor plan that provides a comfortable and open research space To allow researchers to focus on their work, the building is equipped with a floor-by-floor HVAC system and an immediate pollutant exhaust system. Exposed ceilings are used to give the laboratories a sense of spaciousness, providing a more comfortable research environment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
