Seongnam I-Park The Urban, developed as a part of the Seongnam Industrial Complex Regeneration Knowledge Industry Center REITs project, aims to revitalize the industrial district with the design concept \u201cEmptying space to weave the city (Urban Weave).\u201d The emptied spaces blend naturally with the surroundings, becoming courtyards that accommodate diverse activities and encourage people to linger \u2014 suggesting a new typology for knowledge industry centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building\u2019s lower levels house neighborhood facilities and a comprehensive welfare center; the upper floors are dedicated to the knowledge industry center, with clear zoning both horizontally and vertically to help users and visitors easily navigate and understand the space and circulation. Each facility lobby is planned and designed as a specialized multipurpose public space accessible to both center users and the general public. Landscaping is actively applied to a central plaza formed by utilizing the site\u2019s varying levels, a grand stairway connecting to low-rise commercial spaces, and a rooftop garden atop the workers\u2019 welfare center. The fa\u00e7ades feature warm brick finishes at the lower levels, providing a pedestrian-friendly and welcoming environment, and optimized window ratios for the soaring tower clad in modular terracotta vertical louvers, enhancing its status as a district landmark.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
