Daegu Bank, established in 1967 as South Korea\u2019s first regional bank, has built a close-knit relationship with the local community through its long history. Junglim Architecture designed the original Daegu Bank headquarters in 1979 and later carried out its remodeling project in 2015. Based on the company\u2019s philosophy of growing together with the community, the Daegu Bank Second Headquarters applies the concept of “communication and coexistence” throughout \u2014 from large-scale spaces to interior office areas \u2014 creating a pleasant working environment alongside a mixed-use cultural space for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the lower floors, various cultural programs such as a gallery and caf\u00e9 are planned, with entrances on all four sides to establish active communication with local residents. The office spaces on the upper floors center around an atrium that allows daylight to permeate, enhancing indoor livability. Designing a corporate headquarters involves not only meeting the functional demands of workspace but also reflecting the company\u2019s values, philosophy, history, and vision. The decision to incorporate cultural spaces on the lower floors going beyond workspace expansion embodies the company\u2019s commitment to coexist and contribute to the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
