Built on a 15,000-pyeong (around 50 thousand sq. m.) site with a total floor area of approximately 50,000 pyeong (around 165 thousand sq. m.), the warehouse facility was designed to operate as a nationwide FC, providing comprehensive services of storage, sorting, packaging, and delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The design concept emphasizes expansion and stability in logistics operations. The warehouse fa\u00e7ades expose the concrete construction to highlight functionality, while the supporting facilities feature simpler fa\u00e7ades with urethane panels, symbolically expressing each facility\u2019s character. This approach also reflects a practical design that considers cost efficiency and enhanced facility security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure smooth FC operations, a circulation dock system was adopted to maximize loading dock capacity and improve efficiency of both vehicle and user circulations. This project represents Coupang\u2019s first case of integrating its in-house security process from the design stage, expected to serve as a new standard for future Coupang fulfillment centers.
