Hakyeoul is the old name for the reed beds along the Han River where the Tancheon and Yangjaecheon streams converge; it was named Hakyeoul because cranes used to fly into the meandering rapids of the Yangjaecheon. The concept for the site is “CRANE’S LANDING,” which embodies the flapping wings of a flock of cranes above the gently flowing Yangjaecheon. The project features CRANE TOWER, which embodies a flock of cranes on the ground and the flapping of their wings, and STREAM TOWER, a sky bridge community connecting Buildings 204 and 205 that symbolizes the gently meandering flow of the Yangjae Stream. The site layout serves as a key connection point, linking the green axis flowing toward Yangjae Stream and the park connected to the site with the surrounding city. The large central plaza creates an open space, fostering a pleasant environment and revitalizing the community for residents.

Surrounded by Gangnam’s vibrant shopping culture, the city’s modern and well-organized landscape, and the forest of skyscrapers and apartment complexes lining the main streets, Daechi Ssangyong 2nd Apartment Complex—a haven of nature—is located near Hakyeoul Station in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
